AI agents

You will have noticed that “ai agent” has been trending lately.

As Fred Wilson pointed out (1st Jan 2024) this matters here because:

AI and Web3 are two sides of the same coin. AI will help make web3 usable for mainstream applications and web3 will help us trust AI. Together they will lead to a more powerful, more resilient, more trusted, and more equitable Internet.

Fred is nearly right.

The “together” part necessarily includes AI, web3, and YOU, although admittedly “three sides of the same coin” doesn’t work so well.

Agency is the capacity to act in a given environment, and an agent is an entity with agency that acts on behalf of another. If your choice of AI agent is to act on your behalf with web3 protocols in the mix, you and it are going to need a common understanding of who’s who and what’s what.

How else might it respond intelligently to “Send sis forty bucks worth of ETH”? There’s no natural language corpus it can ingest to help figure that one out.

Addresso is designed to rise up to this challenge and opportunity. If you’re working on web3 AI agents, we welcome your input. Get in touch. The better we understand your needs, the more we can help. 🙏🏼
