Can I change / reset my passphrase?
You cannot change your passphrase at the moment. We plan on providing the facility in a future release.
If you have come here because you have lost your passphrase, there is unfortunately nothing we are able to do. Addresso is YOUR software, not ours. Setting and remembering a passphrase is wholly your responsibility. As all your Addresso information is encrypted with the passphrase, it is meaningless without it.
If you would like to wipe an Addresso instance from a browser — perhaps because you’re starting again, or perhaps because you found you’d accidentally started a second instance rather than linking to an existing instance — then you can find instructions below.
To remove an Addresso instance from your browser, go to https://my.addresso.com and clear all site data associated with it per the instructions below:
Arc

Google Chrome
- Go to my.addresso.com
- Click the padlock icon (or "Not secure") in the address bar
- Click on Settings > More settings and permissions
- Click Delete data
Microsoft Edge
- Select Settings and more > Settings > Cookies and site permissions
- Under Cookies and data stored, select Manage and delete cookies and site data > See all cookies and site data
- Search for my.addresso.com
- Select the down arrow to the right of the site listing and select Delete.
Opera
- Go to my.addresso.com
- Click the badge (e.g. a lock icon) to the left of the website address
- Click Cookies and site data > Manage on-device site data
- Delete.
Safari
On desktop:
- In Safari, go to Settings > Privacy
- Click Manage Website Data
- Find and select my.addresso.com
- Click Remove
On iPhone:
- Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data
- Find my.addresso.com and drag to the left to reveal the delete button.
Samsung Internet
The Samsung team doesn’t provide any information but you should find it very similar to Google Chrome 👆🏼
